We’ve built our technology to be what’s called a native app, the languages we’ve used are Kotlin, SWIFT and Ruby. The benefit of a native app-based technology is that the app itself is housed on the users device and therefore additionally protected by the Apple and Android ecosystems.

If you're a custom app customer we will link it to your existing payment gateway and if you need help finding one we can manage that too. On the Community Version we use STRIPE as our payment gateway and do not store any credit card details locally. We are PCI DSS compliant and additionally offer Apple and Google Pay to users.
It’s all yours. The best way to look at it is that we’re simply providing the scaffold or technology to help you grow your organisation. We do not access your donor data, we have no rights over it. We are only interested in keeping your app up-to-date, secure, on-platform and ever evolving with new features. We will email the user list from time to time with updates on security or app functionality. We do not share nor sell user data to third party marketers.
Absolutely, we recommend all custom app clients earmark $50,000 p.a. for ongoing development. This is because in our experience people fall in love with the potential and come up with great ideas that could make the app better. We’ve learnt with technology that anything is possible but everything costs money. We will work with you on scoping and quoting any ideas and always just charge these at cost. We are not interested in making money off your ideas.
We license our tech platform to you to use, the ownership will always reside with Charitable Pty Ltd but we offer you a multi-year and non-exclusive territory license to use the product.
